Floods, Global Warming, Pollution and a lot more are the results of our careless acts on Mother Nature. We have brought these environmental problems on to ourselves and yet not all of us are making conscious efforts of trying to solve these problems.
There are a lot of things we can do to help reduce our environmental footprints. The classic and the easiest method is by following the 3 R's.
Reduce
Wasting valuable resources has serious effects. While the earth is rich with natural resources, it doesn't mean that these resources will be here forever. We need to conserve what we can of the resources that we are using. Simply switching off the lights when you're not using them is a great help.
Reuse
Don't throw way things if you can still use them for other purposes. The plastic bags you get from the stores are non-biodegradable things.Did you ever think of what happens to these bags when you throw them away? They don't disintegrate and become part of the earth. They remain as trash. Bottles can be reused as containers for small things. You can even use them for arts and crafts projects.
Recycle
Used papers can be recycled to make another batch of papers. You can help save trees by donating paper to paper recycling plants or making recycled papers yourself and selling them to your friends.
Let us not be a part of the problem but a part of the solution. Awareness is the first step to clearing our environmental footprints. When we know what has to be done, we will know how to act.
